Loving Yourself:
The biggest reason that I hear from clients that they want to do a boudoir session is Self Love. They are on a journey. Maybe someone made them feel bad about their body. Maybe TV, ads, or Hollywood made them think they weren’t something-tall enough, thin enough, busty enough, whatever. Maybe it was something even more personal: they went through an experience or a relationship that made them feel like they didn’t own their body or couldn’t be proud of it.
Whatever the backstory, they came to me on the road of empowerment. To help them love themselves, and own their image. Holding beautiful art of their bodies in their own hands helped them feel a level of acceptance and contentment that they had only imagined before. This isn’t the end of the journey for any of us, but it sure is a fun stop along the way!
Feeling Your Confidence:
It is such a happy state of being to feel confident in your body, in your skills, and in your experiences. But, let’s be honest, we don’t feel that way all the time. What do we do when we need to feel confident, but we aren't feelin’ it?
One of my mentors told me you can borrow it until you feel it. Yes, you can borrow it from an icon, or you can borrow it from your mama, but who are you going to believe the most? Yourself. I have had clients tell me when they look at their artwork of themselves looking strong, confident, radiant and self-possessed, they can borrow the confidence from themselves.
You can remember a time when you felt that way, like your boudoir session, and it will help your vibration today. Not excited about being the center of attention as you walk down the aisle? Borrow your confidence. Not sure how the staff meeting will go? Borrow your confidence. Not feeling super sexy tonight? Borrow your confidence. The more you can see it, the more you can live it, believe it, and stay in a place of love for yourself and in full access to your power in all you can do and be.
Giving a Priceless Gift:
The last reason is one of my own. My husband is tough to shop for. He isn’t very materialistic, and he gets what he needs when he needs it. So for special occasions, I would ask myself: is the gift a mug that says “world’s greatest husband?” Boring. Or how about an album that will blow his mind?!
I went with giving of myself in a way that literally no one else can do. No one else can create a gift for your partner that is so personal and special. This is true whether you are just about to tie the knot, or if you have been together 20 years. You are what they want to see. This gift can deepen your intimacy and trust and it can definitely spice things up. Nothing is more satisfying than giving a very unique gift and then creating memories together that are irreplaceable.
If any of these felt true and you are ready to book, inquire at the button at the top or call and we can get you booked!
Until then, thanks for your time today!
